Gary W. Dix is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Valuation Analyst with over 35 years experience. As a Director at Mallah Furman, Mr. Dix has specialized in business consulting, valuations, financing arrangements and tax planning for high net worth families and succession planning. Since 1997, Mr. Dix has been the Director-in-Charge of the Firm's Business Valuation Division, which encompasses estate planning, wholesale distributors of hard and soft goods, and other professional practices.

Gary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Bernard Baruch College of the City University of New York in 1969 and began practicing with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells. He joined Harris, Kerr, Forster & Company as Manager of the Tax Department after four years and, in 1979, he formed Silver, Dix and Hammer, C.P.A. In 1994, Mr. Dix merged his firm with Mallah Furman and was appointed Director.

Gary's professional activities include being a member of the Board of Directors of Perry Ellis International, Inc. (an NASD company) and Westview Country Club, as well as the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation, Inc., where he sits on the Board of Directors and Chairs the Investment Committee.
