Mallah, Furman & Company CPAs Take Time From Tax Season to Help the Homeless at Camillus House
MIAMI, (April 20, 2003) — During the accounting industry's busiest time of the year, CPAs fromMallah, Furman and Company, with offices in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, reflected on the needs of the community and collected 128 pillows, 84 blankets and 2,166 disposable diapers for Camillus House as part of the firm's "Preparing, Sharing and Caring" program.
The collection drive, designed to help foster a sense of balance during the grueling weeks leading up to the April 15th tax day, encouraged staff to bring in supplies to help those less fortunate. For the month before April 15th, Mallah, Furman and Company placed giant boxes and signage in their offices for staff and clients to see each day.
"We developed 'Preparing, Sharing and Caring' as a way to maintain a sense of balance in our lives while working so hard during tax season," said David P. Rosenbaum, managing director for Mallah, Furman and Company. "Our entire staff got involved in the drive and more importantly, they were excited about helping those who need it most.
Camillus House is grateful to the management, employees and clients ofMallah Furman for taking the time to think of the poor and homeless duringtheir busiest time of the year. Their donation will be distributed to the many men, women and children served by Camillus House. This was Mallah Furman's first contact with Camillus House and it was well received by the Camillus family.
