Mallah Furman Expands Its Accounting Team
MIAMI, Fla., June 14, 2006 - Mallah Furman, one of South Florida's leading accounting firms, has recently appointed Michael Silver, CPA, as a director in the Miami office. Silver brings 37 years of expertise in the areas of estate and gift, wealth transfer and succession planning. Previously, he was at Bloom, Gettis, Habib, Silver, Terrone & Rosner.

Silver is an active member of the community, serving as an officer and board member for numerous charitable and local organizations.
Mallah Furman has also named John LaRue, CPA, as a senior tax manager and Carlos Ramirez, CPA, as an accounting manager.
LaRue brings nearly 20 years of experience to the firm. His areas of expertise include individual tax planning and compliance; international tax consulting; taxation of mergers, acquisitions and reorganizations; multi-state income tax planning and compliance; and gift and estate tax planning. LaRue, a graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, is also vice president of the Greater Miami Tax Institute.
Ramirez has experience providing reporting, accounting and tax services in the fields of real estate, law firms, restaurants, advertising, retail and small business consulting. He received a Bachelors degree in accounting and a Master of Science in taxation from Florida International University.
