LaRue Elected President of Greater Miami Tax Institute
MIAMI, Fla., February 28, 2007 - John LaRue, CPA, director at Miami-based accounting firm Mallah Furman, has been designated, selected, chosen, appointed, as president of the Greater Miami Tax Institute.
The Greater Miami Tax Institute was founded 45 years ago and provides an open forum for its members to exchange ideas, keep current on taxation laws and discuss issues relating to state and federal income taxation. The Institute is also a certified provider of continuing professional education.
LaRue has extensive knowledge and experience in individual tax planning and compliance. He offers clients over 20 years of experience in international tax consulting; taxation of mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations; multi-state income tax planning and compliances; and gift and estate tax planning.
LaRue, a graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, previously served as vice president of the Greater Miami Tax Institute. He is a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Florida Institute of CPAs.
