Arthur Unger Elected Vice Chairman of the Board of the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital
MIAMI, Fla., March 14, 2007 - Arthur Unger, CPA, partner at Miami-based accounting firm Mallah Furman, was recently elected Vice Chairman of the Board of the Miami Jewish Home and Hospital (MJHH). Unger has been involved with MJHH as a board member for more than three years and is chairman of the audit committee.
"Mr. Unger is a very active and vocal supporter of the Home," said Fred Stock, COO of MJHH. "He lends considerable expertise in accounting and finance and is a valuable addition to the Home's leadership."
Born and raised in Miami Beach, Unger's professional and civic affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the Florida Restaurant Association. He is a Life Trustee of Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and is Chairman of the City of Miami Beach's Healthcare Facilities Advisory Board. Unger is also active in Mt. Sinai's Foundation and serves as a member of the Foundation's Planned Giving Committee.
Unger has been with Mallah Furman his entire professional career. He serves as Director of the firm's Healthcare Division and his expertise also includes the fashion and entertainment industries and not-for-profit organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Miami.
