Korngold Named Finalist for Key Partners Awards by South Florida Business Journal

MIAMI, Fla., Nov. 2, 2007 - One of South Florida's top 10 largest accounting firms, Mallah Furman, proudly announces that Jay Korngold, CPA, has been named a finalist in the Key Partners Awards for 2007 from "South Florida Business Journal." Korngold was named a finalist in the category of Accounting-Real Estate. Finalists are chosen based on their achievements in the industry and contributions to the community, among other criteria.

Korngold has more than 25 years experience servicing prominent publicly and privately held businesses. He is presently the Partner-in-Charge of Mallah Furman's largest hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing accounts, and litigation support matters. A sampling of his areas of expertise includes financial reporting and attestation, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance programs, internal audit design and administration, performance measurement and benchmarking, and complex records reconstruction and forensic accounting

Korngold graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He joined Mallah Furman and was admitted as a Shareholder in 1994. He is active in several professional and civic organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Building Industry Association of South Florida and is a member of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, Institute of Internal Auditors and Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
